Recently, Naxalites had kidnapped Munshi Shahnawaz Khan of Shell Construction Company and demanded a levy of Rs 30 lakh. After the incident, Bihar Police and other security agencies were busy searching for the kidnapped Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. But late on Thursday night, the Naxalites released the kidnapped Munshi near Bakenbazar temple in the district. Gaya police and other security agencies have heaved a sigh of relief after the release of the kidnapped clerk.
Police is interrogating the kidnapped clerk
After receiving information about the release of Munshi Shahnawaz Khan who was kidnapped by Naxalites, senior officers of the police department reached Lutua police station. The police is interrogating the kidnapped clerk in the police station. Information about this matter was given by Shailendra Singh, owner of Shell Construction Company. Shailendra Singh told that the kidnapped clerk engaged in the construction of the bridge was released by the Naxalites late in the night near the Bakenbazar temple located in the Bakenbazar police station area. The local police station was informed about the release of Munshi by the Naxalites. Now the kidnapped Munshi Shahnawaz Khan is being interrogated in the police station.
Know when and how the kidnapping happened
Late night of 24th December, armed Naxalites had kidnapped three workers engaged in bridge construction for ransom. Two laborers were left in the forest and a levy of Rs 30 lakh was demanded for the release of Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. Since then, other security agencies including Bihar Police were engaged in investigation. A reward of Rs 3 lakh was also announced on Naxalite Vivek Yadav for the recovery of kidnapped Munshi Shahnawaz Khan.
Reward of Rs 3 lakh announced on Naxalite Vivek Yadav
Senior SP Ashish Bharti had announced a reward of Rs 3 lakh on Naxalite Vivek Yadav alias Sunil Yadav alias Karu Yadav alias Brett Ji alias Rajendra Yadav alias Booty Yadav involved in the kidnapping case. While issuing the order, SP Ashish Bharti had said that whoever gives information about Naxalite Vivek Yadav, that person will be given a reward of Rs 3 lakh. Also, a reward of Rs 25,000 will be given to anyone giving information about kidnapped Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. It was said that the name of the person giving information should be kept secret.
